Smoked Sangria Beef Brisket

INGREDIENTS:
1 4 pound beef brisket
1/4 onion, finely chopped
1 cup zinfandel
4 cloves garlic, minced
3 tblspn triple sec
2 canned chipotle chilies, minced

2 tblspn chili powder
1 tspn orange zest
3 tblspn water
1/2 tspn black pepper, ground

PREPARATION:
Mix all ingredients, except brisket, in a large mixing bowl. Put brisket in large container, pour over marinade, cover and allow to marinate for 2-3 hrs. Take out brisket from marinade making sure to reserve it for later.
Prepare smoker. You'll want it to smoke for about 4-5 hrs at 200-220° F. Put brisket on smoker & cook until temperature reaches 165° F. Take out brisket from smoker & wrap tightly in aluminum foil. Let set for 30 mins.
Add reserved marinade in saucepan & bring to a boil. Reduce heat & simmer until sauce begins to thicken & Serve. Good Luck!
